In a lucrative sponsorship deal, Formula 1 Teams Williams and McLaren have sealed up two discrete grand sponsorship deals for the upcoming season.
At one end where Formula 1 Major racing Team, McLaren signed up a deal with the ‘British American Tobacco’ manufacturer which is returning to the F1 circuit after a gap of 13 years while on the other end Williams tied a multi-year deal with Rockit.
After ending an association with Martini, the formula 1 team will run in the circuit as Rockit Williams.
As per the partnership deal with Rockit get its brand endorsements sign on the side of Williams’ Car along with logo featuring exclusively on the racing suits and helmets of ace drivers including George Russell and Robert Kubica.
Besides, Williams and Rockit will work together to create race lifestyle content and interactive activation around key races,
“With Rokit launching in 2019 we wanted a global platform that would help us tell our story of innovation,” added Rok Brands chairman Jonathan Kendrick. “Williams Racing is the perfect partner. With them we can bring Formula One to audiences in new and pioneering ways. Through our glasses-free 3D technology and our Wi-Fi capabilities, we aim to make Formula One even more accessible for all.”
Meanwhile, British American Tobacco will promote its electronic smoking alternatives through global deal with McLaren. The Tobacco brand was away from F1 circuit since 2006.
McLaren said the partnership is ‘focused solely’ on BAT’s reduced risk products, with the tobacco giant’s vaping brands to be emblazoned on the team’s race cars.”
