Xtep Sports, a Hong Kong and Xiamen based sportswear brand, has opened its first flagship store in the silicon valley of India, Bangalore. The sportswear brand, Xtep specializes in footwear and sportswear in several categories. In its sports performance category, it includes football, outdoors, basketball and an urban fashion category too.
Being in India, the Sportswear brand plans to build five stores by the end of the year and to start an online sales platform in several major cities.
Incepted originally as a genuine equipment manufacturer for international sports manufacturer in 1999. It was after a span of three years, that they have come up with a Sportswear brand in 2002.
The company was founded by the 46-year-old Ding Shui Po who is the current chairman and chief executive officer of Xtep.
At present, Xtep operates 6,035 stores across 31 provinces across the People’s republic of China(PRC) as well as Nepal, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Spain and now In Bangalore.
