One of the leading sports equipment manufacturers, Yonex has extended its agreement with Tennis grand slam the Australian Open.
The Japanese sports equipment manufacturer will also continue to cater as the official Australian Open Stringer, supplying racquet stringing services in the qualifying, main draw singles, doubles, Mixed doubles, and wheel chair and junior events.
Being in the agreement, Yonex is entitled to provide more than 5000 racquets for the grand slam, maintaining a keen precision for which the brand is known for.
During the main event, fans will be able to watch Yonex’s International stringing team in action in and around the playing court and there will activation for fans during the tournament.
Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley said, “Yonex is a great tennis brand, much-loved around the world, and a perfect fit for the Grand Slam of the Asia-Pacific. At the Australian Open our whole team works incredibly hard to provide exceptional service to the players and Yonex plays a key role in how we deliver.”
Yonex Executive Officer of Global Marketing Wataru Hirokawa said, “We are thrilled to be back in Melbourne again next January.
