Former Indian cricketer, investor, and entrepreneur Yuvraj Singh have invested in nutrition startup Well versed. This undisclosed amount was invested through Singh’s VC firm – YouWeCan Ventures.
He realized the value of maintaining a good nutrition regime for our overall health and fitness throughout his battle with cancer. “Well Versed is redefining the way nutrition and food products are crafted. Well Versed is not just another nutrition brand to me. Rather it’s a technological innovation that covers the way for a major change in the whole nutrition ecosystem,” said Yuvraj Singh, Founder, YWC Ventures, in a statement.
Yuvraj Singh founded YWC Ventures in 2015 and has invested in several startups like Healthians, EazyDiner, and salon chain Naturals. With Yuvi’s funding, Well Versed’s valuation has reached ₹100 crores. This startup held the famous keto brand – Ketofy and was founded by Aanan Khurma, Aditya Seth, and Ripunjay Chachan. This 2pyear-old startup claims to have increased by 250% in the past year.
The company declared that nearly half of its revenue (40%) is through website sales and its products are also available on e-commerce sites like Amazon, BigBasket, and others. After the investment from Yuvi, the company is now planning to expand to newer markets, invest in technology and research and development.
