Sri Lanka Sports Minister, Harin Fernando and ICC chairman, Shashank Manohar are scheduled to meet today in New Delhi. They will discuss the proposed revamp cricket’s national governing body, SLC.

The minister said, “I will meet the ICC boss in India tomorrow to discuss the future SLC administrative structure.” He also said he will be carrying a document which was tabled in parliament last week. He had presented in parliament a paper submitted by the former greats such as Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene and Sidath Wettimuny on a Sri Lanka Cricket constitution.

Following the world cup debacle, the entire coaching stuff except trainer Nick lee, had been asked to resign. Fernandos said a new coach will be appointed for the series against New Zealand.

He said he had the highest regard for Chandika Hathurusinghe, the current head coach. But certain didn’t happen the way they needed to happen.

In case, the current head coach refuses to resign they will be offered other posts at SLC.

Hathurusinghe received a letter from the SLC management after the team returned from the World Cup. The coach has no intention to resign as he has some 16 months left of his contract.
