Delhi Dynamos FC retained Marcos Tebar for the upcoming Hero Indian Super League 2019-20. The Spanish midfielder maestro assumed the role of captain in the latter half of the season.

This is his third time playing for Delhi Dynamos after having spent one season in between with FC Pune City in between.

With Marcos on their side, Delhi Dynamaos’s midfield is expected to have an upper hand. Known for his sharp passing accuracy, Marcos held a weighty position in Coach Joseph Gombau’s strategy. During his 13 appearances in the last season, he served as the pillar of Delhi’s midfield. He scored one goal for his team and he has two assists to his name.

The alumnus of Real Madrid academy, Marcos has played for the LaLiga giant at different levels. Afterwards he moved to Rayo Vallecano and Girona. He journey in Hero Indian Super League commenced in 2016. He firstly signed up for Delhi Dynamos but moved to FC Pune City in the following season. Tebar moved back to Delhi Dynamos last season and is extending his term with the team.

The players exclaimed, “I am really happy to stay in Delhi one more year. It is an exciting challenge for me and I believe we will enjoy the upcoming season. Looking forward to start again.”

Rohan Sharma, the club director commented on his return, “Our captain is back at home and I couldn’t be more excited. He is the leader that every Dynamo should aspire to be.”

Gaffer Joseph Gombau was also elated at his comeback. He said, “As a coach, I am very happy to Marcos Tebar in the team. He is a very important figure both on and off the pitch. He is crucial to us for the upcoming season and I wish him all the luck.”
